Women's Health

Independent practitioners offer a full range of women's health care from menarche to menopause and beyond including:

  • Cervical screening tests – previously known as Pap Smears – these are recommended for all women aged 25-70 years of age. These are performed by our independent female doctors.
  • Pregnancy care.
  • Management of menopause symptoms
  • Breast checks

Vaccinations

You can make an appointment with your doctor to get your vaccines.

The practice stocks all the recommended childhood vaccines including the Year 7 and Year 10 scheduled vaccines.

The practice also offers Covid vaccine and the RSV vaccine. Speak to our reception staff to book an appointment.

The practice stocks flu vaccines for all people over the age of 6 months. This vaccine is free for children aged 6 months to under the age of 5 years, people over the age of 65 years, pregnant women, and certain other groups at increased risk. Please ask your doctor or the reception staff if you qualify for a free vaccine. The Government flu vaccine is available each year in April depending on the availability of stock.

Men's Health

Independent practitioners offer a full range of men's health care needs including, routine health assessments, managing your cardiovascular health, prevention of diabetes, and any other physical or mental health issues that you may have.

If you would prefer to have your consultation with a male doctor please let our reception staff know.

Mental Health

All of our independent practitioners have undertaken mental health training and can help people of any age with their mental health concerns.

Many of us will experience some mental health issues either briefly in response to a stress or as an ongoing issue. The independent practitioners can help you access any services required and guide you through the available treatment options while providing you with sensitive, caring advice.

Please contact us to make an appointment and don't forget to ask for a longer appointment if you feel you need some extra time or require a mental health care plan to be done.

Chronic Disease Management and General Health Assessments

The independent practitioners perform a range of assessments for eligible patients. These include healthcare plans to assist with chronic disease management, diabetes and age-related assessment.

These assessments are bulk billed to Medicare and there are not any out-of-pocket costs.
